I have an Inspiron 1520. Until recently, when I pressed one of the sound buttons (mute, raise volume, lower volume) on the front of the computer, a little graphic would be displayed on the screen that showed the sound level based on the change I just made by pressing the button.

i’ve searched and tried some solutions but not even one works for me. i’ve checked my VOSTRO 1500, the device manager states that the device is working properly. the bluetooth configuration however states that the device is not found.

I’ve been enjoying listening to mp3s using the Dell Touch Zone application which (finally) works. (Turns out if you have unicode characters in the mp3 filename (or perhaps it’s the title tag or both), the program will crash.

i booted up my laptop but the screen remains black. when i look at the leds, the numlock led is lit and doesnt blink, but the scroll lock and the caps lock indicators are blinking. i read in google that it may just need a memory reset or something so i removed and installed the memory again.

I have been working with another Dell Community Forum to solve the above problem. They have been most helpful with suggestions to prevent this from happening but nothing worked. Today they referred me to your forum.
